What cookies are

A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser so it can remember something between visits. This site also uses browser localStorage for a few preferences — it behaves similarly, except the data is not sent to a server with every request.

What this site sets itself

We set only the following two items ourselves. Both are functional, and neither is used to track you across other websites:

• lang (cookie, 12 months) — remembers the interface language you picked manually, so the next visit is no longer redirected by your IP country.
• tb_consent (localStorage) — remembers your choice in the notice at the bottom of the page, so you are not asked on every visit.

Our own page-timing script writes no cookies and no localStorage, and never stores your IP address.

Third-party cookies

Where your region requires consent and you click "Accept", the site may load the following third-party services, which set their own cookies:

• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_<id>) — measures page views and traffic sources; lifetime up to 2 years. Loaded only when measurement consent is on.
• Google advertising (__gads, __gpi, _gcl_au and similar) — serves ads, caps frequency and measures ad performance, set by Google and its advertising partners. Loaded only when advertising consent is on.

How to decline or withdraw

• Click "Decline" in the notice at the bottom of the page to switch measurement and advertising signals off. If you previously clicked "Accept", you can withdraw at any time by clearing this site's data.
• Your browser settings let you delete existing cookies or block third-party cookies. Neither affects any of the tools.
• If your region does not require consent, these signals are on by default and you can still withdraw at any time.

Regional differences

As required by Google, visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland have measurement and advertising signals off by default and must actively click "Accept"; elsewhere they are on by default. Declining still leaves every tool fully usable — the page may simply show non-personalised ads only.
